filipino taho

i was looking for a good taho recipe, and found a few different recipes here, here and here. i used their basic instructions, tweaked them a bit and came up with the right ratios of sugar to water for my yummy taho. i've never had sago pearls in my taho, and because i don't really like them anyway, i eliminated them.

1 c brown sugar
1 1/3 c water
16 oz silken tofu

Create a simple syrup by dissolving the brown sugar into the water over medium heat. Stir to combine and keep warm. Spoon tofu into microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 15-30 seconds, depending on how much tofu is in the bowl. (I microwaved about 4 Tbsp of tofu for 15 seconds.) Spoon warm simple syrup over tofu. Serve immediately.
